The mission of the Rockhouse Mountain Institute is to
support and promote individual freedom, support and promote
a sane use of the environment, support and promote a resilient
and fulfilling economy, support and promote the arts, and
support and promote quality in our culture and our everyday
lives.
The Rockhouse Mountain Institute (RMI) proposes that supporting
and promoting smallness and decentralization in our society
is the best method for achieving the goals of this mission:
Small and decentralized government, small and creative businesses,
distributed alternative energy sources, local action in the
use of the environment, research to promote small farms and
gardens, small and decentralized economy, small and decentralized
forms of education, crafts and non-industrialized creation
of goods and artifacts.
